Lyric Rivera, flute Fellow

Lyric Rivera is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree from San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studies with Cathy Payne. Lyric enjoys her time freelancing around the Bay Area, and holding a private studio. This past summer Lyric participated in the Blossom Music Festival where she performed with her colleagues and the Cleveland Orchestra. She previously graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music where she studied with Alexa Still.

Previously, Lyric spent one year at the Interlochen Arts Academy where she studied with Nancy Stagnitta. She has been a finalist in the Philadelphia, South Carolina, Oklahoma, and Mid South Flute Society Competitions. Lyric has had the opportunity to perform in masterclass for Robert Langevin, Denis Bouriakov, Mark Sparks, Leone Buyse, Lorna McGhee, Christina Smith, Ransom Wilson, Aralee Dorough, Alberto Almarza, Donna Shin, Jessica Sindell, Blair Francis, and Robert Dick. Lyric has had the chance to tour, perform, and teach in Amman, Jordan, Quito, Ecuador, and throughout the United States.
