Alessandra Ramos, oboe Fellow

Argentinian-American oboist Alessandra Ramos is originally from Los Angeles, California and currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is currently studying with Russ deLuna and also completed studies with Dr. Rong-Huey Liu. Additionally, she has also studied with Eugene Izotov, Simone Bensi, and Dr. Jacqueline LeClair. During her undergraduate studies at La Sierra University, she won the department All-Stars Competition, performed several times as a soloist with both the orchestra and wind ensemble, and performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall with the ensembles. She also completed six months of her performance studies at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence, Italy, and performed with the Orchestra Sinfonica del Conservatorio Cherubini.

She has spent summers at the Hidden Valley Music Seminars, performing in masterclasses with Elaine Douvas, and at the Philadelphia International Music Festival Music House International studying with Elizabeth Starr Masoudnia. Alessandra has also performed in masterclasses under Dwight Parry, Elaine Douvas, Herbert Blomstedt, among others.

Alessandra is also passionate about sharing music from underrepresented groups to a wide range of audiences and promoting inclusivity in arts and education. Over the last several years of her teaching experience, she has taught privately, and was on the faculty of La Sierra University’s Academy of Visual and Performing Arts.
