Quinteto Latino aims to expand the boundaries of classical music by performing works composed by Latino composers exclusively. This program features work by the renowned Mexican composer Carlos Chavez, and contrasts two very different works by Brazilian composers Liduino Pitombeira and Júlio Medaglia.
Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View is hosting us as a part of their formal concert series. We hope you can make it out for an evening celebrating the performance of Latin American composition. FREE Admission!
Quinteto Latino is excited to announce we’ll be joining a select group of artists and showcasing at CMA’s 40th Anniversary Conference Jan., 4-7 2018. Register today to see us there!
Quinteto Latino returns to Mazza Castle after a successful concert event in 2016. New music and the same great energy will be brought to the space again come November. Doors open at 4pm, Music begins at 5pm.

Quinteto Latino has begun a partnership Selby Lane School thanks to the school’s strong support, and with a little help from the San Mateo County Arts Commission Project-Based Grant. The school will receive classroom visits from Armando (taught in both English and Spanish) as well as an intensive assembly series with the full Quintet that will bring culturally connective curriculum, student interactivity, and an in depth exploration of the creative process to grades K-6.
The Quintet will perform a series of 2 concerts brought to fruition by a collaborative group of presenting organizations (The Foster City Library System, Foster City Parks and Recreation, and Music Teacher’s Association of California–San Mateo Chapter). One concert will be geared toward children and feature Quinteto Latino’s latest interactive assembly program, while the other will take a more general audience into account. Both are exciting opportunities for these local areas!
In a collaborative event for visiting artists at CSUMB, the Quintet will be on campus for a few days working with student musicians in masterclasses, workshops and community events that culminate in an exciting public performance at the World Theater.
